SAN FRANCISCO -- The idea for Tic Tac Toe T-shirts came to their creator, Mikko Jarvenpaa, while he was travelling solo around the world. “I wanted a fun conversation opener that would work in any language and any culture. So – I put a Tic Tac Toe game, made out of velcro, on my t-shirt,” Mikko says. “When I went out with the shirt for the first time, I was stopped on the street within 5 minutes. Someone wanted to know if it was really playable, and where they could get the shirt themselves!”

Tic Tac Toe Tee is being developer by Knight & Bishop LLC, a startup based in San Francisco, CA. The ambition of the company is to create fun and functional clothes and accessories. Knight & Bishop is starting with Tic Tac Toe, and is already developing product lines based on Chess and Dominoes.

“People connect with Tic Tac Toe immediately. When our team has been wearing the samples, people come up to them to ask if they can play them, and come up with fun ideas on where they would wear them,” Mikko tells. “We also get requests for tote bags and hoodies, and we will include those as stretch goals in the Kickstarter campaign.”
